I will be taking a visit to the United States in June. How easy is it to come by places to trade Euros into US dollars? Our destinations will be New York and Dallas Texas.

Honestly loouise; you should just get yourself some dollars before you leave. Europe is great for getting the greenbacks, but I would never take my chances in the US for Euros. Or any foreign currency as far as currency is concerned.
Use a credit card. PIN numbers are shorter too so be careful with ATMs.
